The Shires is a small privately owned inn, centrally located in Southwest Virginia between Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Radford.  

We are only 5.5 miles from the New River Valley Mall and 7 miles from both Virginia Tech and Radford University.

We offer 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units for weekly or monthly rentals. The Shires is a boutique country inn with individual rooms and townhouse units that are spacious and welcoming.

The Shires outside patio, gazebo, and lawn area are perfect for your moderately sized wedding or private party

The Shires is located in Montgomery County along Peppers Ferry Road, a route that conveniently connects all points of the
New River Valley.
